Garden Rooms, Playfull areas and reflective spaces-

This client desired an aesthetically pleasing, peaceful atmosphere for adults, combined with a design that is fun for children.

Aesthetically, the client desired to focus on textures, foliage colors and ground covers.  This project began in the front and side yards, and now envelopes the entire property into one cohesive landscape.

Within one cohesive landscape, each area has its own identity. Two connected water features adorn the hillside.  One is a stream fed waterfall into a pond, and the other, a tall, pondless fall that guards a hidden cave.  A woodland dotted with discoveries of hidden bells and a spirit house is the back drop behind the two water features.  Two courtyard gardens add views from the inside of the house.   A secret contemplation garden lends a quiet peaceful space to the composition.  Sitting areas complete the space with paths to link it all together.
