A burst of color runs across this big display of "nature." Three falls, each six to nine feet, fill the air with sound.
Once shotcrete buried in evergreens, this hillside is a natural answer to the repair of an old, unnatural water feature.
The first steps were technical: full demolition of the old landscape and a soil nail wall. Then came structural engineering and custom boulder selection. Buried weights and keyed-in boulders hold it all together.
The result looks like it always belonged to the hillside, and it earns its name every season.
