ALCC Excellence in Landscape Award

This client wanted a calm, good-looking space for adults and a design that is also fun for kids.

They wanted to focus on textures, foliage colors, and ground covers. The project started in the front and side yards and now wraps the whole property into one connected landscape.

Each area has its own identity. Two connected water features sit on the hillside: one a stream-fed waterfall into a pond, the other a tall pondless fall that hides a small cave. Behind them, a woodland holds hidden bells and a spirit house to find. Two courtyard gardens open views from inside the house, and a secret contemplation garden keeps one quiet, set-apart corner. Sitting areas finish it off, with paths linking everything together.
